Ingredients :
2 cups Honeyville Alta Artisan Flour
2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
2 Tbsp Sugar
3/4 tsp Salt
1/2 cup Butter, cubed (1 stick)
1 cup Honeyville Buttermilk Powder + 8 oz Water
1 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Blueberries
Glaze:
1 cup Powdered Sugar
3 Tbsp Water
1/2 tsp Vanilla
Directions :
1- Preheat oven to 475 degrees.
2- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
3- Next, add your cubed butter into your flour mixture and, using a pastry whisk, fork, or your hands, mix butter with flour mixture until it has a crumbly texture.
4- Next, pour reconstituted buttermilk powder (buttermilk + water) into mixture and mix until a thick dough forms. Gentle fold in re-hydrated Blueberries (soak in water until soft, then drain excess liquid).
5- Roll dough out on floured counter top about 1 1/2 inches thick.
6- Using a biscuit cutter or ramekin, cut out biscuits, then place biscuits in prepared skillet.
7- Bake at 475 degrees for 15 minutes.
8- While biscuits are baking, make glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, water, and vanilla, until combined.
9- Pour glaze over biscuits while biscuits are still hot. Allow to cool, then serve!
